For smaller shipments of 25 kg and over Change Coins provide free packaging and collect via courier using a national network. We find this method of foreign coin collection to be the most economical and minimises our environmental impact.
Please contact us if you would like to arrange a collection of your foreign coins.
For each collection to be valued, the foreign coins and banknotes need to be sorted by country and denomination and then counted. During this process any damaged coins and non-coin items are removed from the collection. Our customers can carry out this work for themselves, in which case we would count the coins only, or ask us to perform the whole task at our purpose built foreign coin processing facility.
Change Coins use a fully automated computer controlled coin processing system to sort foreign coins, incorporating a Scan Coin ICP Active 9 coin sorting machine. This state of the art coin sorting machine uses intelligent coin processing to sort and count up to one million coins per shift, and is used by cash handling centres around the world. By integrating this machine into a purpose built automated system, we are able to sort very large batches of multiple currency coinage with speed and economy.
Thanks to the efficiency of this system, Change Coins are able to offer our customers high volume processing of foreign coins at a very low cost. For customers wishing to place large volume ongoing business on a contract basis, we offer competitive rates for sorting and counting foreign coins. There are many world coins in circulation which are identically minted, sharing the exact same dimensions and metal composition. These foreign coins are verified by hand, with each coin being turned and checked. Rejected coins are also checked carefully and any gold coins, silver coins, or collectable coins identified and paid for in addition to your currency.
We sometimes find a small percentage of damaged foreign coins within collections. We remove these coins during the early stages of our processing as they have the potential to damage our sorting equipment. Generally foreign banks do not accept damaged coins meaning unfortunately they have no currency value.
